Default Little talladega -- May 9th

Me and a group of friends are basically renting the little talladega track (http://www.tgprace.com) on Tuesday, May 9th for the whole day. We get there around 8am, and leave around dusk, and get the track all to ourselves all day long. We're looking to take 12 cars this time. I believe we already have a total of 5 people committed to going. Three cars can be on the track at a time (believe me, you'd probably get more driving time than you even cared for). Its pretty much a "go out there and drive as fast as you want while staying on the track" kind of thing.. good way to just have fun and learn the limits of your car a little better.

Its $100 per person. We're trying to make sure we fill up all 12 spots.. This is on a first come first serve basis. Please make sure that you can go if you say you want to go...

Anyone who can definitely commit to coming, send me a PM.

Ask questions here.

For those who haven't heard of it, it's a nice little track. The track make is deceiving. While it's a quick track to learn, it certainly does have its challenges to get it right. I didn't think I'd like it, but I had a blast there.

Which direction are you planning to run?

I agree George, it definitely is a fun track and can keep you occupied the whole day. We haven't decided which directions we're planning to run... Last time we just decided to run it clock-wise the whole time since half the group hadn't ever been to a track. This time we may run one way before lunch and the other afterwards.. we'll see (anyone who goes will have input on this.)

Jeff,
This sounds sooo cool. I'd love to go, but I'm a little leary of taking the 951 that far (and for that kind of purpose). I'm pretty sure that my clutch is on it's last leg, and I don't want to get stuck somewhere in between.

Hope you guys have fun and be safe!

It's fun to run it one way in the morning than switch in the afternoon (see Tigpri ). At any rate, I'm interested, just need to check something at work tomorrow to make sure that I'm not blowing off anything important.

Yes, John, sorry.. I had been meaning to get back to your PM but I've been very busy with finals.

We have all 12 spots filled currently, but one might possibly free up. How interested are you in coming if this happens?

No problem on the reply. Let me know if a spot does free up and I'll likely fill the spot (~80% chance). Thanks.

Good luck with the finals!
