The funny thing is Dan looks exactly the same now as he did then. Same startled look and everything

here is me about 20 years ago, when i was 5 years old. as you can see, my fragile little mind was warped at a young age, and ive always been an air cooled nut

I learned to drive in a 63 Karmann Ghia. Little thing had a 36 hp engine. If you tried to pass, the wind would hit you in the face when you pulled out from behind whatever you were following and you'd have to pull back in. You needed a full mile coupled with a slingshot effect to get around anyone! God I miss that car. My dad lost the tip of his roght finger to it while working on it. It was his baby.

Anders, neat pic - absolutely BEAUTIFUL countryside. Where you visiting there or did you live in Austria for a while?

The story behind the trip is that my dad was the coach of a swim team and for a few years the team went to Schladming in Austria for the summer training camp. My dad and the owner of the hotel became friends and it is his 924.

I hav never lived in Austria but have spent a lot of vacations there in both summer and winter and it is one of the places in the world that I would not mind living in. My two favourite places are Neustift and Schladming and I highly recommend going there.

I have a pic at home somewhere of me cleaning the engine on my dad's 86 Carrera back in 86 (i was 2 years old) and I also had a porsche drivers outfit that i wore when i was that age which we also have pics of but I am at school right now so i cannot scan it in. I think our disease is one that is commonly contracted at a very young age.

Living in a country does not necessarily mean working there.

Me leaning on pops 77 Pontiac Grand Prix, complete with white vinyl interior, while on vacation in Hilton Head, SC, about 25yrs ago. Notice how much this kid resembles the kid in my avatar.

The boy DOES look a lot like the young you! Cool!

Nice that you all have relatives that could afford a Porsche back in the day! I should post a few photos of me next to my dad's 1965 Ford Falcon!
