Been PMing some members about a possible upgrade to a newer model.
Here goes,
89 S2, 57k miles, belts are 2 years old with 2k miles on them. no evidence of body work, nose may have been shot since it has no chips. VIN stickers clearly legible on every panel.
Stone Gray/Burgandy. No dash cracks, AC blows cold 10 speaker system with a bad amp from the equalizer that takes time to warm up. Decent life on brakes. Lets say the tires are almost new.
Believe it is original clutch. Records from 44k/1999
I drove it for about a dozen autocrosses and say a dozen 20 minute DE sessions with the bra on.
Interior immaculate.
Left quarter has a scratch, right fender has a barely noticeable paintless dent to be removed, left fender has a small dent on wheel well at about 10:00 o clock position.
So, what is it worth?

Whatever someone is willing to pay
How much do you need to get for it?

Sounds like a really nice car. My guess would be somewhere around 10,000 to 12,000 depending on the person and how much it might coast to fix the little dents and scratch.

Yea, that's what I was thinking too. Unfortunately, I doubt that mine would fetch that, although it's in nearly the same shape (miles), but I figure I could get $8-$10 for it, with all the upfixin' I've been doing.

seen some for less than 6k recently not sure exact condition. depends on how long you want to keep it. i think around $9500 should sell in a reasonable time. i think you need to consider the turbo market as they are similar in performance (stock).

In which case, the first owner did get a number of SEGs (over 1,300 miles/month), but the second owner didn't (248 miles/month). It was a garage queen, apparently just sitting there and degrading.
Me? I'm putting 317 miles/month, but storing it for the off season. Seems to average out to about 4K-5K miles/yr, but but it's been going up steadily.
Honestly, I think I'm getting the most and biggest SEGs out of the car, 'cause I take it to PCA DE's and really drive it!

That's the beauty of the 944s. We can take them to a DE and almost keep up with the fastest, but have exponentially less (shouldnt that be the square root less) invested/at risk.
When I sold the firebird convertible I thought about going from a 10k porsche to a 20k porsche. Then i decided 10K was all i wanted to invest in the wall at a DE and got a miata to compliment the 944.
