Has anyone tried these...did not know till I saw their site that they do 944 stuff ( in addition to shark stuff )...the handles look like an interesting alt. to 968 handles.
Thoughts/opinions/good/bad ?

PS - I don't think they're a sponsor...so if there's a site sponsor with something similar...tell me that too!

I think that those handles are just VW A2 body pull handles. I had bought a set to install and lost motivation and sold them off. Available on eBay from HK for only $35 for the set. IIRC you would need to swap parts out to make it work, but all very doable.

Doable is an understatement.
But we kept at it and have done the work, designed and CNC'd the parts to make the conversion possible. They do work awesome and feel great.

Shark, do you have installation instructions that you could post and/or email so that we can get a better idea what all is involved in the conversion?
Thanks
Thanks

Shark_gts IS Jager.
I have bought several of their products, and on the 928 boards, Jager Engineering has an EXCELLENT reputation and track record. Their stuff is NOT cheap - but it is very well made. Ya get what ya pay for!

Paul, what parts did you have to CNC to make the VW handles work? I've seen other 944's with VW handles and to my knowledge they didn't have any custom parts.

Shark-
Sorry if that came across as making light of your product, totally not the intent. Everyone that makes products for our beloved cars is good by me.

It was an interesting puzzle. I wanted the old-school locks to function so we ended up having to make a new actuating arm, then come up with a process to re-jig the handles, which is a bit tricky to do as it requires a specialized tool. We also got a new front pull pad/gasket laser cut because the stock gasket was no good.
I really like the "shaved lock" look and would highly recommend the remote locks. We have a kit planned for remote locks too (in a few weeks) full wiring diagram for cars without power locks (includes the guns at a reasonable price) or cars with power already.
We don't have a replacement actuating rod for the handles as yet, so that must be removed from a broken or existing handle, or purchased. The rods are about $20 each.
A minor mod has to be made to the 944 lock tumbler or a V Dub tumbler used in its place - something we did not try.
Thank you for the interest. We are doing some things to the project car right now, and will have another video by next week.

Thanks Shark. So if I already have power locks with remote entry, I wouldn't need your kit right. I could just get the shaved handles and it will all work?
