Default 968 Mirrors added pictures

I just received my 968 mirrors from GAD today and they were suppose to be black and they are dark blue. My question is what is needed to install on my S2 they came with nothing but the mirrors and the plug inside I know I will need gaskets but what about the wiring will I need to buy or should have they come with more stuff. Any advice or knowledge of everything I need to complete the install would be much appreciated I have been to the 944S2.com but it really doesn't help. Thanks

I added a couple of pictures of the base of the mirrors so maybe you guys can tell me what else I will need for the install thanks.

I used that write up but two problems pissed me off.

Mark the mirror bolt so you can see the alignment after the compression tool is in place. I used a jewelers file.

I found that a slotted head fastener was easier to work with to rotate the compression tool to keep it from binding up in the mirror bolt while compressing the spring. Then an easy to spot allignment mark comes into play.

Out of curiosity, what did GAD charge for the mirrors? The reason I ask is that I *just* bought a set for my wife's 928 brand new from Sunset Imports for $340 shipped, and it came complete with everything. It seems like a lot of the used ones have been selling for more than that lately.

The factory retrofit kit is the easiest way to go IMO. The price from Sunset is very reasonable. The kit comes complete with everything needed and with instructions so it is much easier to figure out the wiring. Of course you do have to paint the mirror housings

Sunset is a Porsche dealership. They sell OE products to out of state customers at perhaps the best prices around.

Its $311.89 for the 968 Powered Aero Kit from Sunset, so thats some pricey shipping charge, still worth it.
$208 for the handles.

I also often see the mirrors going for $400+, kinda sad.
...And Wes, your a thief! :P

The cost from GAD was $400 shipped but now they are blue instead of black I will probably be sending them back depending on what else I need to make them work besides paint.

If you send them back, don't hold your breath for a refund!
I can't believe they didn't even send the gaskets.

I spoke with GAD this morning and he said he had a list of people wanting the mirrors so they will be going back and as far as a refund goes we will see but thats the advantage of using a credit card is if they don't refund then I will issue a charge back and get my money back from my credit card company but always when shipping back make sure to have confirmation with a signature because you will need if you go the charge back route but I do hope they will just refund and sell to the next guy. Thanks for all your responses like an idiot I do it after the fact someday I will figure it out.

I bought mine from GAD, got them for 350 including shipping and everything i needed to hook them up(minus the connector). The guy i dealt with is no longer there, he called me on 2 other occasions about parts i was interested in, did great followup and the shipping went smooth and on time. But that guy is no longer there so im sure they are back to their "old" ways.
