The hatch glass on my 86 na is slipping; the common hatch glass problem. Just to clarify, the glass is sliding rearward/downward and the hatch frame is not distorted.
There have been many threads on fixing this, but I never saw anything about forcing the glass back into place while still in the frame. Has anyone ever repositioned the glass back into position by using force applied from the rear edge of the hatch? Perhaps by using several screws or shooting in sealant under high pressure? Of course, these are jury-rigged fixes, but that's the point.
I'm close to making a bandaid fix by putting sealant into the gap at the top/front of the frame, and I just wanted to check to see if there's another approach to actually fixing it that I haven't seen mentioned.
Thanks,
Paul

No, not screwing into the glass. Perhaps by using multiple large diameter machine screws against the edge of the glass it can be forced back into position.
