Default clutch pedal adjustment

I am just about ready-to-run with my major rebuild... The new clutch seems to engage late, about 3/4 off of the floor. I have bleed the system, checked all measurements, and I wish the clutch would grab a little earier(closer to the floor). Is this set up correct? Does the new clutch need some time? The drive around the block is all the use the clutch has at this point...

I have owned thee 944s, and all of the clutches engaged "high", but I like it that way. The only adjustments are for the push rod free play (Spec is 1mm), and pedle force.

With a high clutch you have less pedle travel which translates to faster shifting, at least for me.
