Fernando,
I'm assuming that you're talking about the Auto Show....?
According to the email that I received today there were already 100 cars registered. Here's the email that was sent about a month ago. Hopefully we'll see you there this year. My car didn't make it last time, my valve spring broke just as I was about to head out to the show last September.
Peter

"On Sunday April 9th, the annual Food Lion Auto Fair, held at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, will host the Porsche Club. We have participated in this event for the last 10 years, first in the form of European Car Day and most recently as the Carolinas PCA. We have grown to one of the largest car club displays at either the Fall or Spring show.

This year we are limiting the number of Porsches to 100. This will allow us to show our cars on the infield grass. Even with the limited number of cars we will still have the 2nd largest car club participating in the Auto Fair. This is a fun event with class trophies given out. It is not a judged event however, the entries just vote for the car they like the most in the designated classes and for the People's choice. The most important thing to remember is the event is FREE. Where else can you see great looking Porsches, mingle with friends and people you haven't seen for a while, look at hundreds of classic cars and hot rods and not pay to do it.

This is just not a PCA event; it is open to anyone that owns a Porsche. We have always had entries from the other regions as well as non-PCA members and hope that will continue. We just want to let people see our cars and hang out.

All you need to do is send me an e-mail and I will send you two passes for that Sunday with a pass to get your car in the Speedway infield. Sorry but you need to enter your Porsche in order to get the tickets. Due to the large number of cars we anticipate entering, getting more than two passes will not be possible. Send the e-mails to mljjones@vnet.net and I will get the tickets to you as soon as they are available. Make sure to include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and year/type of Porsche. Richard, I can meet you at your house on Sunday morning. I'm pretty sure that Justin is coming with me. Let me know what time you want to leave. If we leave early we'll get the best spaces.....Hopefully my car will start this time.
I'll be detailing my car on Saturday in the garage.

Hope to see everyone there.

Richard, I spoke with Justin and we'll be able to leave here at 6:30AM and most likely meet up at the entrance ramp to 485 at around 6:45AM. I call you on your cell Sunday when we're leaving the house.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there...Fernando, I hope that you can still get tickets.

My tickets are on the way to me!

Mike (the guy running the show on the PCA side) was able to find someone who had to cancel, so I'm in.

Joe - since we're pretty close to each other, want to meet up somewhere to drive out there?
