Default 924 Auto repair update

Just a quick update note, having returned from 2 fun weeks in Phoenix - cool to catch up w/ the guys there, thanks Jeremy, Kevin, et al! - So immediately back to work in the garage, determined to take the 924S (1987 automatic) for a spin. Replaced the blown auto rubber damper a few weeks ago, having bought the car locally in its broken state - but didn't quite finish putting it back together, ran out of time.

So I put the rear brakes on, bled, misc little stuff... put it on the ground, it would only go forward - wouldn't shift to Neutral, Reverse, or Park. Put it back in the air and fixed the shifter cable install I messed up.

Back down, and took it for a nice spin around the block! Not too far; accel cable's only 2 strands away from snapping (thankfully the PO already bought and included a replacement), and the rad fan switch is inop. The power steering also seems not so much power; have to take a look at that eventually.

Still, she got a bath, and turned around, a little heat in her bones again - good to be back making progress again!

Congrats! Feels great to take the car for a spin after putting so much work into it, eh?
