Good heads up on the wheels! I knew they were 'phone dials' and thats about it. I think they are one of the best features of the car.

DE's- I usually run with SCDA and mainly at New Hampshire. I will be running with them at Lime Rock this summer as well. I love the suggestions, as I want to hit Watkins Glen again (did it last year with the VW) and am generally looking to add some other dates. I have heard good things about PCA, although I think they require some serious safety equipment (aka this years budget). [My current delemma is finding 'sport seats' that can accomodate a harness AND match the tan and brown interior...] I have heard of NASA in passing, but never really looked into what they offer.

As far as the wallet is concerned...DOH! Its money that gets enjoyed at least...

Phone dials became standard on 85.5 and 86 cars. in 15" of course.

Cookies were standard on 83-85 cars with 15' fuchs as an option.

In general, the rules have been tightened up a little this year to this end:

1. If you are using harnesses, you must use the proper seats that have the shoulder harness pass-through. You must also be using either a harness bar or a rollbar.
2. The new rollbar padding must be used.

Besides those rules, other than keeping your car in sound mechanical order, and installing a fire extinguisher, you're pretty much set. If you have a bone stock 944 without harnesses, you're good to go already.

Look at the region you wish to run with and their rules.

Sweet. I plan on doing harnesses, seats and roll bar in one expensive swoop....

Where in CT are you located? There's quite a few 944 and 911 guys from southern New England.

I am in Shelton (Southeast Fairfield County). Right in between Bridgeport and New Haven. Exits 52 (Merrit) and 27A (I95).

I wanted to see if I could find a decent Autocross group in the area too, for the days when we just can't make the midweek track days, but need to do some driving...
