I would very much like to see the different snorkel. I posted the picture out of the Porsche '89MY update manual. Several owners said they had the "normal" snorkel. This has made me have doubt about the other trivia in the manual.

Thanks for the snorkel picture, you have redeemed me. I wonder if the change was a result of cars hydro locking from rain water being taken in? I was actually thinking of drilling some half inch holes in the bottom of the tube to let water run out before being ingested by the engine.

I believe the factory fix was to completely remove the snorkel altogether. I don't see how someone could get a significant amount of water in the 1st generation snorkel and not in the second....i mean, the water had to be DEEP, we aren't talking about just driving in the rain
