The coolant expansion tank should take no longer than 10 min (only 3 screws hold it to the car) depending on how old the hoses are that are hooked up to it. The water pump should take about 4 hours if you are not doing the Timing belt & rollers.

BTW, as with any job, it will take as long as it takes to make it right. You are at least putting the car on jackstands, right?

By turbo waterpump are you talking about the little electric deal that runs after the car is shut off?? That should not take too long ... I would think an hour at the most (after you remove all of the intake stuff that is in the way).

Oh the Turbo waterpump (next to the expansion tank) should take no time. Expensive little part.

Has your (electric) turbo waterpump stopped working? Back when I had my 951 I was about to buy a new pump. Then somebody told me to loosen the brakcet that it sits in and twist it - I can't remember if it was clockwise or counterclockwise. I did this along with replacing the fuse and it worked perfectly for the rest of the time I owned the car.

I tried to find the faq or message I read this in, but it was back in the Porschephile board days - no luck. Give it a try though.

I bought a new pump for the red car over a year ago. This pump still works, but I figured I would go ahead and put a new one in
