Wheel bearing help EXTRA URGENT!@
Ok the yellow car needs to be road worthy by wenesday! That doesnt leave me much time. I thought I had everything lined up, but it turns out i dont. Here is the problem
When I put the hub onto the little spindle, it goes on but needs to go on another half inch for the brake caliper to fit on. The last half inch it needs to cover however is too big to fit through the bearings.
Here are my possible thoughts
1. Something is different on the 1988 LeMans edition 924 suspension, and the wheel bearings arent the right size. (the bearings are for an early 944, which would also fit a later 924s).
2. I have somehow installed the bearings wrong. If the inner bearing went inside the hub about an inch more, then it would be ok, however the bearings would not fit.
Any thoughts guys?

Rock, when I was doing my wheel bearings, I had something similar... I was in California a year ago, and freaked out that I pulled my car apart, and yadda yadda, stuck there, etc...
Anyway, what you need to do, is wiggle them on until they seat. the spindles and everything should be identical. just wiggle it, move it around and apply constant, even pressure towards the car. it should eventually slide into place. make sure everything is greased up too...
Good luck!

Ok guys i got it! I looked over it again, and there was part of the old inner bearing in there! the new inner bearing was ontop of the inner bearing causing the problem! Its fixed now! The bearings were the same BTW.
Oh and ive learned something, autozone keeps wheel bearings for our cars in stock normally.
