The o rings should be replaced on the conversion as a 134a compatability issue. The new 134a/oil is not compatible with old o rings.

I bought a vacuum pump which connects to an air compressor, and is able to pull 27" Hg vacuum, and it only cost me $30. I know it's not as good as Jeremy's robust interstellar vacuum machine, but it makes a good poor-man's compromise . Epic - the brand is Central Pneumatic, in case you decide to buy a pump and do this job. Of course, you need an air compressor for it to work.

How's that suspension coming?
Slowwwwww, but I get a lot more done in a day now. It's also gone from a 12 hour day to a 9 hour day. It's kind of tough when I am splitting my time between 4 or 6 major projects in a day. Plus, it's tough on equipment and supplies. I just shelled out $300 for replacement tools that were either MIA or broken, as well as shop supplies so I'm able to manage that better as well. I'm thinking about having 2 weekend a month for "scheduled" cars one weekend a month for me, and one weekend as a free-for-all.

Kevin's 951 is just awaiting a few trim pieces and it's done, Stew's belts are aligned and needs some trim and paint details (and his wide band mounted). After that I can get moving on mine. Bob's 951 is coming over for paint and body work as soon as my car is done and Kevin and Stew cars are gone.
