Sorry to see that Joe. I am glad that you are okay and thank your wonderful wife for dropping everything and driving 180 miles.

Is there a reason there is a different rim on the front right than on the drivers side? Just curious.

I hope everything pans out well for you.

Wow Joseph, glad to hear that you're OK.
Does insurance cover your car if you're tracking it?

Like everyone else has already said, I'm glad you are OK! Hopefully the insurance will cover it, I'm not sure what is typical with US policies.

Anyway, the car is just a car, you will get another. Sometimes you just go through a string of misfortune, but it always gets better. Treat it as an (expensive) learning opportunity!

Hey, on the lighter side, maybe it was the Porsche gods getting back at you for selling your S (j/k)

Probably!! I probably did something to tick them off way back with my first 944.

James - we had to put the spare on the right front to toe it off the track, since the original tire went flat. the spare wasn't much better.

thanks for the condolences. i'm already looking at getting another M3 hopefully.

It's only a roof, a couple suspension parts, and so fourth.... you could make it the only dirt track M3 out there...

You know, people pay thousands of dollars to lower the roof on a car, you found a way to do it in a couple minutes...
Might need to fix the cracks in the windshield, and straighten the sunroof, but it's all good

Seriously though, rolling over can be a pretty rough crash. Lucky you came out without a scratch.
Best of luck with insurance, but unless you had seperate track insurance I have bad news for you...

Sorry about your car Joe...glad to hear you were unharmed.

Anyone have any better info about track insurance and what companies are better to deal with? I was prob going to take my M3 to a trackday next month...

If you were at a drivers education event, Insurances are supposed to, and usually do cover incidents. Have the organizers sign a statement that, in fact, this was a driving education event, learning to control you car better, for safer driving and accident avoidence skills on the street.
