hey guys, I'm a proud new owner of a Black 1990 944 S2 Cabriolet!

I want to get a decal for the rear. Just a plain "porsche" one. But I'm not sure what color to get? What was the original color? I can't get black because the car is black and you wouldn't be able to see it. What came stock on it, does anyone know? I did run searches in here and even google, but I can't tell. Was it a silver decal? White?

Also, does anyone have suggestions where I can purchase one from?

Do you mean the sticker that runs under the tail lights? I believe on black cars it was the white outlined one.
If you mean an emblem, cabs did not come with emblems....unless you are lucky enough to have a turbo cab.

yes the decal sticker under the tail lights, just says 'porsche'. So it's silver then for the black 944. Cool, does it have "944" in the right corner too? In silver? Or does the back just have "porsche"

Thanks again, I just want it like OEM. Nothing that shouldnt be there. Mine is the 944 S2 , its not a turbo.

Check eBay, you can find OEM stickers on there for around $20. They're two piece vinyl decals, very easy to put on.

I would assume that the 944 badge is also silver but mine says Turbo and it's silver also.

The right corner under the spoiler should say "944S2" with the "2" kind of hanging down. I also agree the decal should be silver. There are sites online where you can buy the decal from. Try using the search feature of this forum.

I ordered a 944 decal, but not the hanging S2. I like it! That's what they looked like on them? were decals optional? Because mine doesnt seem to have ever had them on it, there's no history of any rear end damage..

My midnight blue turbo cab. has the Turbo emblem in white - I wondered about this - what were the options as new? and therefore do I have the original?

Silver is the correct color on a black car. I do not think the cabriolets had the 944 S2 badge on the rear.
