Default S2 Valves, bent - HELP!!

CALL ME CHICKEN LITTLE or dumba$$ but valves are not my problem, it apears final cam timing is or fuel?? I am going to measure the cams tip to tip tonight. I'm pretty sure I have the cams in correctly - some good pics in other posts!

Idle is up down up down then dies. (yet to check, idle control valve, fuel, DME, etc) but I suspect cam timing with the belt sprocket. Compresion is +14 bar, no leak, good spark, it lacks power and dies, won't idle. New fuel filter is on the way. BTW - the car sat for 4 yrs - I drained the tank, nasty nasty liquid.

I am not about to punch it to look for a difference.
New engine - a complete short block rebuild, head spec'd good at machine shop. belts, roller, clutch, "while-u-r-in-there" blaah blaah... I bought it with a toasted engine. It looks like the cost for this build is about the same as doing a V-8 conversion.
------------------------

I need valves, same old story.... can anyone help!

Any tips on R&R of the old valves or just bring the head to a machine shop.

You might wanna contact Ian at 944online.com, I know that he sells re-built heads for 8v engines but not sure obout 16v set-ups. Also try DCautomotive.com, they may have a pulled good head.

Good luck and hope things work out for you!

Once the valves bend they can not be straightened out. They have to be replaced with either another set of good used ones or you'llhave to buy new valves.
