Default Grounding Boxes?

Has anybody had any experience with these? I was reading in some turbo mag recently and they had a test on several manufacturers ground boxes. What they seem to be is a combination of voltage regulator and some capacitors that all work together to smooth out the power either to or from the ECU.

One of the vendors claimed that when the correct grounding location was found they picked up about eight HP on a 350Z. The magazine seemed somewhat skeptical but when you think about it, it makes sense. If the ECU has a steady and smooth supply of power the sensor readings will be more accurate and have better control over the engine functions.

The retail prices were about $165 give or take so it seems like a lot of money for maybe nothing gained except a lighter wallet and some bling under your hood.

What do you guys think?

Meh, the money would be better spent on new ground/power cables for our cars.

that is all a load of huey, in regards to the power gains. The price is laughable as well. This sort of thing would be marginally applicable in a high performance overclocked desktop computer; in a low tech and robust car computer... hehehehhee.
