Default Cruise Control Question

Hopefully someone more technically inclined then myself will have an answer to my question. Several years ago, I had to replace the steering column and the new column came with a cruise control lever. My car however, does not have cruise control. I was wondering if it was at all possible to install a cruise control unit and hook it to this lever. Also, if it is possible, is it practical for the price and difficulty? Any help or insight would be great.
Thanks

i may or may not have all the parts you need. i just pulled the computer out from under the dash, but i know the cable between the pedal and throttle body needs to be fixed.

He will have to buy the cable new. I think its cheap though, like 20-30 bucks new.
