Default Automatic 951?

I'm lamenting the causes that are keeping me from owning a 951 by browsing ads when I came across a 1987 Black/Black 951 listed as an auto. Was this possible?

No.

All 951s from the factory are 5 speed manuals.

Do you have a link? Maybe he put a turbo on a 944na/auto.

Probably a typo or someone clicking a wrong button.

I too think it was a typo as I've yet to ever hear of an auto. Would be neat if it was true though :-)

I know of at least one auto turbo...

I met a guy in Philly that had his wifes red 87 951 converted to an automatic. He had a shop in Delaware do the conversion after he lost a leg in a motorcycle accident.
I don't recall the specifics, as I was at his place to look at an 83 Esprit, and it was before I got bit by the 944 bug.
