Pay attention class...

Difference between regular 924/944 headlight covers and turbo/S2 covers.

Regular on left, turbo on right

Regular on top, turbo on bottom

How about a comparison between the front fenders and header panel to make this lesson complete!

Can you show me the difference between a 944S and a 944S2 headlight cover?

That said, I've never seen pinstriping on a cover like that before...

BB.

Jon, If I had the two kinds of fenders and header panels laying around, I would certainly teach that part of the lesson.

Brian, that headlight cover came off the '83 euro car I parted.

So a normal one is gold and a turbo one is black. Got it. Thanks.

Could you please circle the areas of difference to make them more prominant?

If Rock doesn't mind we could post a picture of what happens when you put a turbo bumper on an n/a 944...It looks good from 15 feet away right! (In no way am I bashing your car, rock.)

O.K., here's a nice example of what happens when you use standard 944 headlight covers with a turbo nose/header panel.

Rock, I'm hoping you're good with me using your car. Thanks.

Man, I apoligize.
I was drunk and trying to use some humor for once. I now realize why I should not do that. Thank you for pointing out a weakness I should not try improving!

Here is an example of an N/a fender vs a turbo fender. The first picture has an N/a fender. The second picture is actualy THE VERY SAME fender bent in the front to fit the 951s bumper. The N/a fenders come to more of a point at the end, where the turbo fender rounds off at the ends.

No problem. We're all just here having fun and trying to learn something at the same time.

Rock, thanks for your input man. Very nice

Well class, I think that about covers the differences in front ends...except for maybe the unseen items like the differences in bumper shocks and bumper bar, and batwing.

Stay tuned for lesson #2 coming in two weeks weather permitting...we'll be looking at front suspension.
