Default Northern VA -Parting out the yellow 1984- Come vultures.

So now on the shores of the sea, the fellowship of the yellow and I have come to an end. SO now I must decide weather to part it out or not. Im leaning toward parting it out, but I dunno if anybody wants it lemme know.

The passenger side steering knuckle is damaged and is now on its way to the rumpke dump, if someone buys it as a whole it will need to be towed.

Ill take some more pictures tomorrow, it now has a black nose panel because i yanked the vented one for the 951.

Before the wheel took a shat, it drove like a champ! The motor, despite leaking, seems to be pretty strong.

The good

Turbo front end (headlight covers still N/a)
Neat dino steering wheel.
86' rear suspension
The paint isnt TERRIBLE
Straight pipe (loud)

The bad
The drivers side fender and side are spraypainted due to a body repair
Sunroof is black
Nose panel is black
Leaks oil from the front somewhere
Leaks ps fluid from the steering pump, but the ps works.
Cracked fog lenses
Leaks water inside like crazy
No sound deadning
the trannsmission is questionable
The body isnt all there
The interior is a 5/10 with a torn *** drivers seat
~500 miles of next timing belt change.

EDIT- Parting out lets get on with the Parting. Ive already had my way with the vented nose panel, but there is a black turbo nose panel in its place. Great if anybody wants to do a turbo conversion. Euro plate is spoken for too.

Is this the car used to break pete out of jail? if so that should add to some rennlist collectors value.

In any case, it sounds like it's probably better off to part it out..

No, the car that took the signs out and saved Pete was the legendary blackie. In heaven it is.

Oh yea- Thats another problem. The sunroof is held on by metal strips.

The lenses are pretty good, the drivers side turn signal is cracked but not too terribly. If you think 50 dollars for both rear lenses is fair then theyre yours.

It doesnt have a coolant resivour.

The ebrake shoes are off of an 86 N/A that held up pretty good. That heater resistor must have been good too. It blew some nice heat.

So will that vented header fit a 951? If so, I'm interested in that. Actually even if it will fit a regular 944, I'm interested in it.

So sad to see another one parted up. . . I love that color BTW. But it shall live on in spirit.

Oh the lighted porsche plate in the rear was taken off and given away months ago. Sorry that is an old pic.

The vented nose panel is now on the black 951. Sorry .

Rock, why are you parting it? It's always better to have a spare
