Car Broken Into!!!!!
ya, my car broken into, i knew it was coming, it was just a matter of time. Live in an a part of houston, where in the past 4 months cars have been broken into alot. I'm pretty sure it's one of our new resident from.....guess where? you got it....New Orleans, got to love them. Cops call me at work telling me they stole the radio. got home just now and that is the only thing they stole good thing he/she didn't break anything else. they just pretty much pulled out radio and cut the wires. and guess what they left the radio in a shoping cart with a lot of other items that were stolen from other cars. so i got my radio back also...

Hey lets not go assuming the thieves were from New Orleans. But I am glad you got your radio back (shopping cart??? did the cops find a "shopping list" as well )
When I was young my dad would never locked the car doors. One day I asked him why, and he replied
" I would rather thieves just go into the unlocked door and steal my $55 dollar radio instead of breaking my $125 windows and then stealing my $55 radio. "
actually it made sense.

I got news for you....Houston is your problem
I have several aunts and uncles and cousins and a Grandmother that live in and around Houston, and they have all had their cars stolen or broken into...pre NO.
None at their house- all when they went to a grocery store or shopping!
They all now belong to "the club cult"

That sucks, but at least you got things back. was a window broken?
about 3 years ago, my 924S was broken into on campus. they broke out a window, took my stereo out of the dash with a crowbar (thus breaking the dash) and took all of my CD's. never found the guy. spent $50.00 on a used center console and a window from a junkyard, and $300.00 for a stereo. As for CD's, I went and bought more...
Moral of the story: if you have a removable faceplate, REMOVE IT!

Cops actually caught the thief and guess what he was an "evacuee" from Louisiana. I've lived at my current place for over 2.5 years(and over 25 years in this neighborhood) and never have had a problem or any of the neighbors. until our guess that have come over to stay. the neighborhood has been great before our neighbors arrived but since then our neighborhood has become the ghetto. glad to be moving in 2 months(just bought a new house).
PS i've never said that houston was crime free, but there are areas that where okay to live in. but now alot of neighborhood have gone down the drain.
