True, but put it into perspective. Parts for new fords coming out of the factory are expensive...I did an intake plenum box in a ford E-line van and it cost a whole pile of money for a little plastic door that cracked.
Go buy any car from the 80's--it's going to need to be fixed often, and it will seem expensive only because of the cost of parts relative to the cost of the car.
