That seller has a couple of other cool goodies -- like 968 Turbo RS wings and a nice pearl necklace.

Yeah, with all of his goodies, it looks as if he was going to build a badass 951, and something came up...

Those trim pieces on the 968 wing are not correct. Anyone considering bidding on that wing should consider that they will still need to purchase the 3 separate trim pieces (either repros or the real thing $$$$$) and pay big money to a shop to fab and epoxy in mount brackets for the wing (if they can't do that work themselves).

I know this seller, he is a super decent guy (albeit a stinking lawyer). He ended up buying an old 88 928 5spd from me to run a Road Atlanta. I seem to recall the big D put a snuff on the racing days.
Bid with confidence.

You still knew it wasn't cool and still did it. #3 doesn't make it any better for those of us that were interested in the wing or the mirrors/handles. I could see if it was your own auction and you wanted to get the most $$ for your listing, but doing this and driving attention to something that some fellow rennlisters may have been watching is just uncool. It's not like it is against the charter here on this forum (but it is on others I inhabit), but it is still uncool, nonetheless.

Sunset's prices on new mirrors and handles is not too far from the current bid on this set.
Am I the only the one here that thinks dishing out $500+ for a set of mirrors and door handles is a tad excessive? And then there's $250 extra to update your lock cylinders.

Sure ebay is the answer sometimes but when you get people publicly posting ebay links on message boards, you screw all the guys watching the auctions hoping for a great deal in the end.

Tifo. I know this is a popular mod for these cars. I was looking at it last night, and I know there are a bunch of people on Rennlist who may be interested in doing this, so, I posted the thread, simply to let them know that they're available. Sorry, but I was spreading the word, not to be malicious, but so people knew they were out there.

I didn't intend to screw anyone here. and this'll be the last time that I let the community know a popular mod is available on ebay.

Sorry for f*cking up your auction. Thread closed.
