The first time I removed the starter on my car, the bolts were seized. I was lying down, yanking on the wrench, when the bolt came loose. The end of the wrench smacked my upper lip. Reflexifly I tried to get my head away, so I smacked the back of my head HARD into the cement floor. I jerked my head up, and smacked my forhead against the car hard. That was a nasty 1-2-3 combo.

I feel for you man but that's hilarious. . .

I think it heard you talking about a turbo - these are jealous girls. You have to keep THEM happy individually and not talk about the others around them. I've figured this out. You can have more than one, even park them next to each other, but don't show any favor to one or the other or you'll pay dearly.

Most recent example: Changing the fuel filter on my 944 - I was under the back not wearing goggles (idiot move #1) just thinking to myself (I'll keep my head way off to the side and turn my head away when I finally pull on the wrenches to seperate the connection, that way I don't get any in my face". I tried it 2 or 3 times, having one of the wrenches pop off each time. Frustrated, I said aloud "geez, I don't remember the 951 being this hard". Did it again and the thing let go with hardly any effort - gasoline right in the eyeball.

They know.

Ha ha! Sorry I had to laugh. I did essentially the same thing a few years back. You can always embellish it into a good bar room brawl story...

This thread is hilarious, especially since we can all relate......and if you listen real carefully, you can hear the cars laughing too...

hey do u all remember that recent thread about the bulge under the passenger seat? i think its a human brain somehow wired into the machinery, which allows the car to listen and react to what we say... im scared now.

That must be what the bulge is...
