Default Help with Bellhousing Upper Bolt Removal

Hey,

i got the two bolts off the bottom of the bell housing fine, but i cant seem to be able to get a wrench or anything into the two top ones in a good enough way to break them loose and get it off. For the one side, i think i can use a crows foot wrench, but i have no idea for the other. Any one have any experiance taking these out? and can tell me what the best way to do it is?

thanks,
-mike

Those bolts are a pain in the ***. I had to use a combo of universal joints and extensions.

The top top bolt is easiest from the top, a regular 19 wrench should do it. A 19 mm swivel socket helps for the other.

Yup, top passenger side bolt....from the top with a wrench. I believe you can actually break them both loose from up top, but the drivers side you can't turn very far, so I found for the top driver bolt, that a couple of long extensions, a universal joint, and a ratchet will get it. (I mean LONG)

Yup - 18 inch extension and a u-joint up top - get them from the bottom. 20 seconds.
