924 /951 swap
I posted this on the 924 part of rennlist but no real answer so far so i hope you guys can help me?
I just got a old 924 from someone and prolly acces to a 951 donnor car.
I used the search but i couldn't find any threads on the swapping between them.
IS it even possible? I recently saw pics of a nice gts over at http://www.ttt-motorsport.de/ and started dreaming.
My dream a 924 with gts kit and a 951 engine, brakes, drivetrain, basicly eveything but the shell *drools at the thought*
If there is a thread or a project that has been done already, could someone post me a link.
I know there's a 924 with a 968 engine and a s2 tranny on here from a lister.
Any pm's about projects or thoughts are welcome.
As to the question that will follow why mess up a perfectly good 951......
A 924 here where i live is tax free and about 30-40 $ insurance and basicly you can modify a oldtimer how you want (engine, look) as long as you dont go with black windows or over the legal noise level.
Thanks guy's and i hope you can help me

It is possible. You would however need access to a 951 donor car. There will by a number of little things that will make the swap harder that it seems at first.
It will take LOTS of time. Good luck.

Pretty much.
Just buy a turbo, lol. Sorry, inside joke, I heard that alot. I swapped an 88NA.
Donor car is probably the best idea. I found a guy selling everything he pulled from his 951 for a V-8 swap. Your donor car will need to ba an 86 951, it was the only early offset year for the 951. It will fit late offset wheels tho. There will be some work in fitment of the wiring. Beyond that it should be pretty much just a swap. Maybe have to mess with fitting the intercooler.
