Figure 4 or 5, 20 to 25 min sessions. National Certified PCA Instructors will be on hand to instruct all novice students and avalible for all intermediates.

The West track is good track to step up from autocross as it not very fast, has plenty of run off and lots of turns.

What sort of price am I looking at paying if I want an instructor? I've never done a DE before, so I won't know what I'm doing.

Assuming you are in AZ-PCA, it is $130, with or without an instructor.

I am willing to give a couple ride arounds any lister interested.

There is no entry to fee to come and watch. Also due to the track being used you can come and go as you please (no need to wait for breaks in the action) and can see most of the track from the elevated pit area.

I can always use help crewing, but there is not much work to do on a DE with the 944. I just runs like clockwork!

To find the west track take the main Gate entrance area then it will be on the right side.

I'm going to try and make it I think, though probably just to watch. I am in NY Metro PCA, but I don't have $130 anyway.

Kevin,
You should transfer in to Az-PCA. The local PCA is very 944 friendly. I have been in it for 7 years now.

PS... hope to see you guys out at the track!

Bad car Karma for us today. I had the 944 in the drive and was getting ready to load it up. I had it idling in neutral, and after about 15 minutes the engine started stumbling and it died. I threw the battery charger on and took another car to go fill some 5 gallong gas cans. After 30 minutes of charging and 10 gallons of gas, the 944 started up and was running smooth. I grabbed my cel and went to spin it around the neighborhood to make sure it was ok. No such luck. It ran for about 10 minutes and I coasted into a grocery store parking lot. It would not turn over, seemed like a dead battery. My wife showed up with cables, we jumoped the car and let it idle/charge the battery for about 10 minutes. It started fine and we boogied home. About 500 yards from home, the headlights were dimming and the engine was starting to stutter. I'm no mechanic, but I think the alternator is toast? Anyhow, the local auto parts store doesn't stock them, so I don't think I'll be driving it for tomorrow's DE.

Looks like I'm a spectator tomorrow!?!
