Default Newly restored euro 86 924S pics

Just finished restoring my 924s and like to post some pics for everyone's enjoyment. Can a rennlister upload the photos for me?

It's a 86 924s euro rhd model originally delivered in Hong Kong. Only has 53,000 original KM so the interior is in great shape.

A 924s with an automatic? Not that I doubt you or anything, but strikes me as unusual.

924S could have an automatic. Its just like how a 944 could have an auto.

It was a fun restoration. Got the new hood crest and rear Porsche stickers from a UK source. Tune up kit and new engine mounts from Vertex. The bodyshop also refinished the wheels and installed oen of the best performance tires in the market, Yokohama AD07 in 205-60-15 size.

The color is the orginal factory Grand Prix white, very nice in person with a tint of eggshell in it. Interior was very nice as is so no work was necessary. The original carpets are in immaculate condition.

Yes, need to sort out horn pad because the inside mounts are borken, perhaps get a new wheel.

Car drives very nice and tight. I've seen many 924s and 944s in automatic. If you remembered, Porsche launched the 924S as the entry level Porsche and market specifically toward the ladies.

The rear bumper seems to be US spec. Was that combo (front euro and rear us) Hong Kong market specific?

All euro spec. All 924s came with steel front and rear bumpers (they are heavy). Only the 944s had the rear composite bumpers.

Wait a sec, this is a US-spec rear bumper. All euro 924, 924S and 944 came with glassfibre bumper.
This is Euro rear bumper:

I just did some research and you are right. I have never seen the eur style bumper before, always thought they came in the steel version. IN that case I have no idea why my euro rhd model originally delivered in Hong Kong has the US style of rear bumper.

That is simply not true. The majority of all of the ROW 924/931 cars had the fiberglass rear bumper with the small rubber strip.

rear bumper is not steel but aluminum alloy w/ eurathane side pieces. The euro bumpers were very thick fiberglass.

i know they put the fiberglass rears on 924's because i had to customize one to fit on petes 944.

Oops....corrected again, alright, I don't know what I'm talking about but it's a nice car nonetheless.
