Excellence article: How not to own a 944
I thought you guys would be interested in picking up this months Excellence. There is a great write up from Dom Miliano on tracking a 944 at PCA events and the issues he ran into....great article.
PS..love the Jersey winter pic

I just got my excellence.
Those issues seem rather normal especially if you want to take an old 944 out to the track. None of that stuff was serious, but normal stuff to see on an old not well taken care of 944.
Anybody have and idea what the problem was that caused the rear brake lock up? I have heard of bad CV joints causing problems, but it does not sound like that was what they fixed.

Joe,
Great graphics on your car.
I could not figure out the cause of the rear brake issue either. Reading the article made me chuckle, 80% of the listers here could have done all the repair in their own garage. I think sometimes we take for granted how much we can do on our own with a little help from rennlist and Clarks!

rear brake lockup- they said it was a secret and the guy wouldnt tell how he fixed it....if your rear brake is locking up in a corner it could be the brake line, he could have adjusted the proportioning valve, or he may have just fixed the calipers or something. Maybe he just needed heavier front springs too.
