It's a custom made or Bieber cabrio (it's a German company, who makes/made these kits for 924/944)
It looks funny because in order to look like original cabrio, the rear fenders need to be "machined" to get rid of the "mountain" behind the seats.

I like it. If it was closer to me, within driving distance, I would buy it.

I'm intrigued. That thing looks like it needs a LOT of work though. That owner really did one helluva hack job on the interior, not to mention I've never been a big fan of the "poopy brown" interior color anyway. . .

The car looks beaten to crap and does not even have floor carpeting. Why would one take carpeting out if its not going to be a race car unless the thing leaks and destroys the carpets with mold? Water pump is probably seized and he states it cannot be driven far. It shouldn't be started at all unless he wants a broken timing belt and bent valves. In order to run a car down to this condition takes a particular kind of genius. The only redeeming value are the wheels IMO.

"Need" should never be a limiting factor when it comes to 944s.

My wife don't buy that one.

I thought I had issues. Then I saw that car!

I was in florida about 15-18 years ago with a buddy and we drive past a horse track. I said i saw a 928 convertible. He said i was seeing things. Two schmucks that we are we paid $5 to get into the parking lot (the $5 i won because the car was there) and lo and behold there was a black 928 convertible.

I think if i say the roof was cut with a sawzall i would be complimenting the butcher.

We then went to the track, bet on two races and won about $60. Just enough for us to take his grandparents to dinner and buy a gal we knew a few drinks.
