Default 924 R&P gear

I noticed on the Racer-X site it shows that the '79 - '82 924s had a 4.11 rear end gear ratio. Would swapping one of these into a 944 produce much a noticable change? Would the gear set hold up in the 944 or would it be like putting a 944 tranny in a 951 (stripping the r&p gears from too much power)?

well, im not one of the people who actually has answers, but i will answer with what i think will be said.
im pretty sure ive heard that some of the 924 transmissions are stronger than n/a 944 trannies.
and, because of all the work involved in swappign the gear, i think people usually say its best to just swap transmissions.
