Well its my sons, he beat me to the car but I get to drive it until gets his license and sells his other one! We found it at a small european car dealer in Garland, Texas. Its red with black interior, 5 speed standard, new top end, new clutch, new timing belt, rollers, water pump, tensioner, brakes, and some more smaller stuff. But it has a few little problems that I was hoping to get some help on the drivers side door lock seems to be jamed, or in otherwords when I go to unlock it, it wont open. I can see the lock move a little but not enough. The rear hatch wouldnt open, turned out it was a small peice that conects the cable to the motor had broke. The cars oil gage would go up to about 4 and then after a little driveing it would drop to about 1 and move between 0 and 2 so we would pull over and put more oil in it, then the gage would go back up. the Mechanc told us he changed the oil so we thought that the drain plug was loose but no oil spots on the driveway, so we thought maybe and engine bearing but then the P.O. said they were new as well. So we are going to replace the gage and the oil while we are at it but if that is not the problem what else could it be? From what we know its been a 3 owner car (with us) and all the maintainance has beendone by porsche dealers and that the P.O. put over $17,000 in the car and spent $8,000 on the car. It has 206,000 miles on it but that doesnt worry us much with the rebuilt top end. My son paid $6,000 for the car, and we got it yesterday. There is also a clicking noise that comes fom the engine but I think that it is maybe a missing or broken gasket for the Headers. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

You and your son sounds like me and my father when we first purchased my current car the 924S when i was 8th 9th grade...cant quite remember. It was his daily driver untill i received my licencense. It was a great way for me and my dad to connect and have somthing fun to do together, even now in college we have a great time together playing around with it. Good luck with it and i hope you and your son have a great time with it

Most people get the Porsche first, then don't have a license.

Ive been there for work befor on my 928. Some of th elocal 928 Guys have had bad complaints about them but I have not yet had a problem. That is probably where Iwill take the car for work. But right now I need to get that darn radio to work LOL. HAHA thats how I should be, but these kids in their tuners dont understand that a tuner is nothing to a 928 S4, Im not sure about the S2 yet I havent taken it up over a 100 IN A RENTED PARKING LOT, SAFE AREA! (my sons motorcycle team rents parking lots for them to cone off and practice their racing)
