my NOx emissions doubled since last time

we actually cracked open the dme today to see about adjusting the screw, and eneded up needing to dremel 2 screws off to get the cover off (very scary). anyways we encountered cicuit boards on both sides and did not see the adjustment screw. i guess u also need a special tool to adjust it as well, (looking at a pic of it on a website). we couldnt let the car sit in the garage all week, so my dad threw it back together and said "i aint doin that again" because we dont wanna f somethin up with the cicuit boards. we r either gonna pay the fine/penalty for not passing emissions or just get a new cat welded in. both come to about the same cost. thanx for the help tho.

If you turn the AFM screw, it will ONLY adjust your idle mixture. Pop the top off your AFM for the main adjustments but make sure you know what you are doing or else you are going to be in for one heck of an experience.

Just out of curiosity, did you remove the cover from the ecu or the airflow meter?
