944S and 944NA injectors: functionally interchangable?

944S and 944NA injectors: functionally interchangable?
I want to send my injectors on my NA off to Witchhunter for cleaning, but dont want downtime on my car. I have the injectors from my S available, could I temporarily swap them in (I know part #s are different) to keep the car going? Would the S injectors be an upgrade?
