No just delivers all 12 volts to the bulbs with minimal lose.

Make sure the hot wire has a fuseable link in it, don't want a fire!

Call me paranoid, but I also ran the hot wire through a length of vacuum hose for additional protection. I've now got the headlight linkage back together again from my earlier mishap and can finish the project.

does anyone know if those $10 headlights they sell on ebay are any good or just crap?

GE makes cheap halogen ones for about $14...but if ur going for customization...go with the hella H4 conversion kits for about $50 a bulb.
