944 clutch problem...

Default 944 clutch problem...

just recently my clutch started actin up, when i release the clutch pedal it goes about half way up and just stops....also the clutch engages alot faster then it use to..... any ideas as to what it could be?

Sounds like a hydraulic problem to me. Check both the master and slave cylinders for external leakage.

Also check the level of fluid in the brake resevoir. If it is low, it can allow air into the clutch fluid line.

You can also look at the slave cylinder operate if you get under the car and remove the rubber plug from the left side of the clutch cover, while someone else depresses the clutch pedal.
