Default New Year's Run?

Hi,

I was wondering if there will be a New Year's run in SoCal sometime soon. I remember finding out there was one last year, the day after it occured so I'm hoping to attend this year with the 924.

If there isn't one this year, there should be. A drive through Malibu and by the water in Santa Monica would be a great way to start off the new year.

I had herd it mentioned during the TFT run on Dec 4th, check the 996/997 forums. I'll have family in town so that rules me out.

By the lack of interest, I'm guessing there won't be one this year. So... how about Friday, December 30th? We could set up a fun drive around Malibu maybe?

I don't expect my car to have any fun-run crippling problems... so I would go. But somehow my car always starts to bitch and moan about something new before every cool event, so who knows if I would actually be there. I also may be doing something on the road with my family the 29th thru the 2nd, so that could interfere.

That said, barring any interuptions in my schedule, I'd love to go if someone plans one!

If it's the one I'm thinking of it's the TRE Motorsports run. I'll see if I can find out more for everyone - I did the run last year and it absolutely kicked ***. I'll post some pics if I can find 'em. There were literally like 60 or 70 P-cars and only THREE 944s. I only saw two 914s and didn't see any 928s. Pretty much all 911s. Might've been a couple Boxsters too. The "other" models were very under-represented. Maybe we can kinda change that this year (?)

Anyway I'll dig up the pics and try to find out some more info. on it. It's well worth it. Very cool. Very fun.

Here's the info:

This is WELL WORTH the effort to show up. Trust me.

Here are some pics from last year:

It was virtually all 911s last year (aside from the exotics), so let's see some watercoolers there this year! This is a hella cool excuse to enjoy a spirited drive in the company of other P-car drivers, meet some interesting people and see some really excellent cars - and of course work off that hangover.

Here's the link to TRE Motorsports - meeting is there at 8AM like last year.

I'm certainly there! Getting the H20 pump fixed this week so I should be good to go by Dec 31/Jan 1. Let's get some 44's out there!

Thanks for the info.

I'll be there in the 110hp 924, which will hopefully be able to keep up. Hopefully there will be some 924s besides mine as well.
