Looking for early offset wheels
Hi everyone,
I need some wheels for an 86 NA 944 because I want to mount snow tires for the winter. My friend, Scott at Team Harco, recommends 15x7's or even 15x6.5 or 6. Not looking for show condition, just something for the winter. These would be early offset wheels. Thanks.

Hey,
I have two early 15 x 7 phone dials sitting in my garage. I repainted them silver, there in nice condition.
I live in Ohio also. If you're interested email me and we'll see what we can work out.

Vince,
If you get in a bind - I have two late offset wheels (Phone dials). As I mentioned in my fax - you would need to use spacers with them. For winter use - they would be acceptable. I used them for the first year with my car until I was able to source the correct wheels.
The previous owner had three incorrect offset wheels on the car when I bought it. It's a rather funny story. I'll tell it some time....
Anyway, I bought the basic 7mm spacers from Performance Products to get by. The ones I used did not include the longer wheel studs. It's a bit of a compromise but it will work. To do it properly - you might consider the proper spacers with longer wheel studs. Again - this really only makes sense if you can't locate enough wheels of the correct offset.

Thanks, for the Ebay reference. That seems like a decent price and I'm assuming that these wheels are not in very good shape - bidding is at 70 now - thoughts on price?
