also, almost forgot... The only upgrade I've done to my 1995 S6 was installing the Porsche 993TT big reds (yes, big reds :-) on the front with 314mm slotted ECS rotor kit, 17x9 Borbet Type Rs, Koni adjustable Sports and H&R springs. The wife drives it mostly, so she wouldn't know what to do with any extra boost if I chipped it. I'm going for loooongevity and uber high mileage with this one. I'm the second owner and it has had Amsoil 15-40w HD oil in it since 1996. The engine purrs like new all through the rpms all the way to redline at 7200 rpm. Maximum torque is at 1920 rpm an is a tail whopping 258ft. pounds, stock.

Here is more Audi fodder>>

Keep me in mind if you sell the bimmer. I'm looking for THAT model.
Yeah, but Im not convinced the AWD is working properly at the moment. You are a handy dude so you might say "Jesus H, fill that reservoir and badda bing, problem solved." I dunno. Mechanically, the car runs like a scalded dog. Gotta use the parking brake when in park or it will roll but on the highway the car eats up miles.

I do notice when its real cold out the tranny needs time to warm up, otherwise it takes a some high RPMs before it shifts into second. Once it shifts the first time though, its fine. If you warm the car up a minute, it never surfaces. In the spring/summer, you never see it at all. I just replaced the shocks and did belt/pump. I put $3000 into it right after I bought it so it should run another millenium I suppose.

Interior of the car is mint. Paint on outside kind of stinks from 2ft in. From 3ft out it looks pretty good. The new rims look good on it.

My best feeling is the spring/summer would be best for me to get into an S4. Chrissypoo, if you are still looking for one then, you can check it out. Ive driven it every day since I got it in May. I just may want something a bit newer, fewer question marks. On the other hand, if I new the AWD was working, everything might change.

Nah. Ive actually been thinking of selling the 951 as well to get an S4. Downsize from 3 cars to 2. Id have both on-site to drive as right now the 951 is always off-site at Gram-mamas. I could see myself in a tricked 2001 S4 with a nice bodykit and 18 inchers.
