I have used it from from my removed rear seat to spare well in hatch. Works well, especially eliminating annoying road noise.
However, If you ever plan gutting the car (i.e. track use) or just saving weight, it is a PAIN to remove.

Right now, i am definately placing some dynamat under the rear seats and at the hatch area (including the spare tire and two small storage places).
As for door panels, i may do it, but i dont have center locking and don't mess with removing the panel much.

Think of your windows. Even though they are a small portion of your car, there is a noticeable difference in sound levels between when they are up and down (not just from the wind). The same applies here, if you leave gaps in your application you leave places that sound will penetrate (localized yes, but there).
I am not saying cover your entire car, but where you do place it, make sure you leave minimal breaks by trying to use it accros the entire plane on which you are working.

I can get a bulk set, which contains 9 pieces of 18"x 32" for just under $250 here locally......
Is it REALLY worth it?

I haven't used most of the other brands but Dynamat is good. This is my experience with Dynmat from another thread:

"I was able to reduce the interior souond levels of my 944 by 10 dBs as measured by a radio shack SPL meter. What I did was remove the seats and carpet and put down four layers of dynamat extreme, put a foam pad in the trunk under the carpet and switched to Bridestone Potenza RE 950 tires, oh and I also filled the hollow cavities where the rear spakers go with foam. When I get the chance, I will also probably undercoat the wheel wells with dynamat spray undercoating and probably undercoat a lot of the rest of the car too.
My advice is to buy dynamat extreme. Original dynamat is terrible by comparison. You can get it very cheap from audioetc1.com. The bulk pack that crutchfield charges $249.00 for (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Rpc4OY...&search=dynamat) is $131.00 at audioetc1.com (http://audioetc1.com/product_info.p...ucts_id/107990). You should also throw a foam mat under the carpet in the trunk. Check out the dynaliner (http://audioetc1.com/product_info.p...ducts_id/107991) or the tack mat (http://audioetc1.com/product_info.p...ducts_id/107994)
To really make a difference it will probably take two of those bulk packs. Dynamat is not cheap but it does work."

Fishman: I can get the dynamat stuff here locally for the EXACT same price as advertised by Dynamat ($249), that link shows the Dynamat for $130, but you forget that it weight 24lbs when shipped, USPS Air Parcel (4-10 days) cost $83.50, thus bringing a total price os $213.
I would be saving $36 in total, but then i have 6% taxed to pay, plus storage and handling fees....in other words, the savings would be anything between $15-$25.
That wouldn't be saving much really, and the time it takes, the hassle of post office ques, paper work and so on....it doesn't make much of a difference.
Unless anyone who reads this post has a killer deal in a shipping company, willing to help out a rennlister in need
