Default Ideas for this years 944fest

as we all may know in 2006 there may no longer be a 944fest, at least not as we have all known it. I have been thinking of taking over some of the responsibilitys for this venue and i am looking at some locations recently. There may be some changes in plans though if this happens such as - cant be as rowdy as last year as i dont want to be responsible for damage to property and we may all need to pay to enter which would be a small price to pay for such a great event. Just thowing this out there and im going to continue checking into things to see if this can happen. I hate to see such a great thing come to an end...

I didn't make it this past year for obvious reasons but this year I won't miss it if you don't mind a V8. I thought the drive would be bad but I picked up the 87 in Indy and made the drive to VA in about 8hrs. Jon if you wanna leave a day early to get here and camp the night you are more than welcome to and leave the following AM.

Dan, let us know how we can help out. I can spam the 75 local owners but I think that a lot of them are 944cup guys and that is in the middle of racing season.

I heart 944fest. Thanks for looking into the future of this event Dan. I can't wait, it's always a blast.

If theres one for 2006 ill definatly try to be there. I have a new job now, gotta take some ACTUAL vacation for the first time in ohhh I dunno, four years No more of this 3 or 4 day weekend here and there **** that ive been doing all this time My now ex manager took his vacation around the same time as 944Fest, and wouldnt/couldnt change it since he took it at the same time as his wifes daycare clients.

Just tell me the address, I dont mind driving a few thousand miles And I dont mind paying for admission.

Are you going to look into a lodge type place again?

If Fishey (Ron) is amicable to using his estate again, you should consider having it there and sharing the responsibilities of hosting it with him. It would be close to you (for all of the work you will be doing) and also help keep the costs down (ie no rental fees for the site).

Racing season always comes first, but I'd definitely try to make it again if possible, it was so much fun! Might succumb to the pressure and bring the racecar next time - it's so much prettier than my DD!

Its not outside the realm of possibilities but there will need to be some changes made to conform to my parents wishes. Danny hit on a few of the changes that would have to take place but another one would be a ban on Jello shots and a cutdown on the amount of alchol consumed.
