Default Quick question

Hey guys. I've been having trouble with my radiator fan not coming on, it's been int othe auto electrician twice now and I still don't think it's fixed. I'm wondering at what point approximatley on the temperature guage should the radiator fan come on?

Thanks,

Scott.

Hi Scott, is this for an early or late style car? My early car, the gauge would usually read at about the 3/4 mark before the fans turned on. It was very obvious as they were very loud and caused the car to shudder a bit when they first kicked on. That car had some issues that needed to be worked out.

Ive never noticed it on my '87 944 with the later dash however. So cant comment on that.

You may want to check some simple items like the fan relay and fan switch to see if they are faulty if you havent already done that. You also may consider changing the entire fan shroud to see if perhaps they went bad. They are pretty easy to switch also, 6 bolts along the top and bottom of the radiator.
