This is probably my all-time favorite Porsche poster, mostly for the memories it stirs. 1998 is the year that Porsche took some of its best racing cars from the museum on a worldwide tour to celebrate their 50th anniversary, which also coincided with my home track's 50th. Vic and Barb Skirmants organized a 356 meet around the Meadowbrook Historic races so when the Porsche factory cars (and drivers- Haywood, Redman, Elford & Follmer) hit town there were a couple hundred 356's there to greet them. The poster the 356 Registry produced to commemorate that event featured Tom Youk's burgundy and white coupe (a mirror image of Vic's paint scheme ;-) running up front....a guy we still remember fondly.

Funny thing is, it has CA plates and was sent to Dad in Denver long before I moved to CA and got my 951! THAT's destiny
