OT: Thinking about starting a Magazine
Yea so since 911's have there magazine, and Euro Tuners really doesn't have our cars in there, same goes for Euro Sport. How many of yall think that we should start a 944 magazine? Nothing fancy, a few project cars, tech advise more aftermarket support locations. What do yall think?

This has brought up a few times before but never really gets launched. I even thought about doing an e-magazine but haven't had the time.
Do a search through this forum and you can read through some of the ideas already brought up. It may give you a good starting point.

Enlist the services of UDPride for the OP ED pieces.. sure to illicit a chuckle or 3.
great idea. The 944 and variants are pretty well known, and almost all of the current endeavors on this series is grassroots. I like the idea of a e-magazine.

I think it's a great idea. But a lot of people don't have time. One person should come up with a format. Then everyone can add something to it. Different people are doing different projects with different parts. If they could take the time out to take pics of what they do, and do step by step, you could include that in the magazine. IMHO i think it can't be just one person doing it. It needs to be lots of people adding to it. I would be interested in helping though.

i am sure there are people willing to take on projects and take pics of the whole thing. Be nice to have even steps on how to do things like in the turbo magazines and a couple of others i have read.

Try doing one issue of an Ezine and see where it leads. Selling a 944 mag would be a bust, it'd have to be free and make some money by advertisng. There are not enough 944's whose owners read and purchase magazines to get you much of a base, and they are not making any new ones so your subscriber list would just keep dropping. This is not a problem if your business plan reads: "Lose $800k in two years" though.
