I love those q45's. Uglier than a mud fence, but they are well built and super comfy and reliable. Excellent road cars. I think about getting one sometimes. I would lower that puppy about an inch and a half and slam some tings on there - RICE!

How (why?) could you go from an A4 to a Crown Vic?

It's a long story, but basically I've always had the Crown Vic as my winter rat. The A4 was sold to my insurance company for really cheap......

DD - Winter time would be the '02 Maxima SE. Summer dry weather only - would be '89 944 NA Automatic (for sale)

My 85.5 na is my daily driver. When the weather is too ugly for the 944 to come out and play I drive a 2002 Cavalier LS. The chevy has no soul, but it gets me to and from work. From May to October, I spread my driving around between the 944, TR4, TR6, and motorcycle.

My e46 325Ci. It feels like a minivan handling and driving position wise compared to the 944, but the amenities (everything works, like cruise control, a nice stereo, no odd popping or rattling or stuff falling off) are really nice, and it is so much faster in a straight line and sturdy feeling. Not to mention the bmw 5-speed is amazing.

my daily driver is an 02 A4...its chipped, so its about as fast in a straight line as the 924S, but the handling isn't quite the same. Its unstoppable in the wet/winter and gneerally reliable and comfortable (high end aftermarket stereo helps a lot in that dept), so I don't mind driving it in bad weather or when the Porsche is in the shop, but its not as much fun on a sunny day

I've been known to rent a Mini from Zipcar.

Fun as hell to drive, awesomely peppy engines and great handling, but blind spots the size of Caribbean frickin' islands.

Here's my DD:

93 Camry LE with 235k mi on it, desperately in need of new struts and cv boots. But it currently has the best stereo out of the family fleet.
