Default AFM parts?

Why can't we buy parts to rebuild the AFM. I mean if you can buy a rebuilt one, why can't we rebuild them?

Requires a calibrated air flow through the baffel and a sensitive ohm meter to check the resistance as related to that calibrated air flow. Read where you can use the possition of the baffel rather than the air flow.

You can tweak the location of the wipers on the carbon resistive tracks. This does clean up the signal back to the DME. See www.frwilk.com

I have read both Clark's and FRWILK's wrightups. But if the problem is with the strips why can't the board be replaced? I just thought it would be cheaper, if not oh well .

Should be able to replace the resistor ceramic. Don't have any idea where the rebuilders get them.
