Default Rear Bumper Removal

Playing 50 questions here, I'm removing my rear bumper and for each thing I start doing I realize a screw needs to come off, or a bolt out before I do each prerequisite step. I have the rear undervalence, my guess is that needs to come off first, then I need to remove the end caps from the inside bolts, then finally unbolt the shocks and take the bumper off? Where are the bolts holding the right under valence piece? I see 2 in the rear, but nothing on the side.

Damnit, I wish I could just reach in there. And to top it off I don't have any allen bits or screwdrivers.

ok not really sure what your question is but....two 19mm bolts in the bottom of the rear bumper, then four little 10 or 8mm nuts- two on each side, on the underside of the car that hold the endcaps to the body. THen pull the bumper off.

I recently did this

Yes, the rear valance has to come off first, and you need that allen socket, especially to reach the one in the middle. The valance attaches to the quarter panels with 10mm nuts (2 each side) that you access from inside the rear cubbies.

With the valance off, just remove the small nuts (2 each side) holding the end caps to the body, then the 4 bolts holding the shocks to the frame. Then pull the bumper and end caps off together.

You said that price I payed for the bumper was installed right? Well get on down here!

The rear valence is a female allen type bolt right? So a long enough allen wrench could get to it, or do I need a hex socket?

It's the same size allen bolt as the ones by your tailpipe. If you have a long enough allen key you won't need the allen socket.

Oh, you also have to tighten those big allen bolts that fasten the shocks to the bumper. I loosened them to fold in the shocks for shipping.

Sometimes I consider myself lucky to live throwing distance from a hardware store.
