Default Dash Trim Question

HELP
In re-doing my instrument panel, I am having trouble removing the small strip
to the left of the steering column (where the fog light switch, Headlight switch,
etc. are located).

How is this panel attached near the column?

Dick why would you need to remove it to get to the instrument panel... unless you haven't taken off the steering wheel?

I am refurbishing and cleaning up the whole dash and re-dying the lower part
of the dash white. I started out with a brown interior and reupholstered the seats in black and white, the door panels in black, and now working on the dash.

I will have to take off the steering wheel soon, tho - got a new smaller one to replace it.

Screw at the bottom(column area) and the slider at the left vent needs to be all the way over to make it easier....push with your thumb while pulling.

Assuming you got all the other obvious ones...Switches released etc...
